General Membership Meeting
Monthly all member meeting focused on Association initiatives, industry news, and educational presentations.

Meets the second Tuesday of each month

Committees:

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is responsible for establishing the guiding principles of the EHR Association and for developing and implementing strategic plans.

Meets every Wednesday
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Eastern


Membership Committee
The Membership Committee manages all membership criteria and materials and recruits new members. They manage the election and appointment processes and develop agendas for member meetings. They also manage the EHR Association budget process.

Meets the third Tuesday every two months
3:00 - 4:00 PM Eastern


Workgroups:

Members participating in a Workgroup, commit to

  • Monthly or twice monthly calls for the Workgroup
  • Have an interest in learning and taking a leadership role in the initiatives of the Workgroup

Certification Workgroup 
The Certification Workgroup focuses on efforts related to the certification of electronic health records, including government (ONC, NIST) and private industry certification bodies.

Meets as needed.


Clinician Experience (CX) Workgroup 
The Clinician Experience Workgroup focuses on clinician experience and usability. The group will be a source of information and education for EHR Association members, provide a forum for discussion, and serve as a vehicle for monitoring and providing input to regulatory and certification initiatives as well as other industry stakeholders such as ONC and NIST.

Delivery System Reform (DSR) Workgroup 
The Delivery System Reform Workgroup focuses on the important relationship between health information technology and the significant delivery system reform efforts underway in the United States toward value-based reimbursement, including where those efforts relate to products and services offered by our clients that extend beyond traditional EHRs, yet leverage EHR data or integrate with EHR technology. The Workgroup units and oversees certification, meaningful use, and quality measure initiatives that are increasingly subject to healthcare payment reform efforts. DSR provides education to members as well as a vehicle for monitoring and providing input to Congressional and regulatory initiatives, including collaboration with other industry stakeholders where appropriate. 

Meets the fourth Thursday of each month 2:30 - 3:30 PM Eastern


Patient Safety Workgroup 
The Patient Safety Workgroup works collaboratively with member companies and key stakeholders to advance the safe use of EHRs. This group will create best practices in key areas identified by the Executive Committee and will serve as a resource to educate the membership on issues of patient safety and proactive reporting processes associated with EHR usage.

Public Policy Leadership (PPL) Workgroup 
The Public Policy Leadership Workgroup facilitates leadership in public policy initiatives of importance to EHR Association members. This workgroup will partner with other EHR Association workgroups and the Executive Committee to align efforts and utilize content (i.e., EHR Association positions), to enable leadership in priority areas. The Public Policy Leadership Workgroup will be a source of information and education for EHR Association members on key public policy initiatives. 

Meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month 12:00 - 1:00 PM Eastern


Privacy & Security (P&S) Workgroup 
The Privacy & Security Workgroup is responsible for monitoring and organizing the Association’s input and response to initiatives - whether driven by proposed regulation, standards or certification requirements - that relate to privacy and security of protected health information (PHI) managed or exchanged through an EHR. 

Meets the third Tuesday of each month 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Eastern


Quality Measurement (QM) Workgroup 
The Quality Measurement Workgroup focuses on opportunities and barriers related to how health IT can facilitate improvements in care quality, with a special focus on two HIT domains: clinical decision support and clinician experience.

Standards & Interoperability (S&I) Workgroup 
The Standards & Interoperability Workgroup supports the membership with coordinated feedback and education on industry, government and standards development organization (SDO) initiatives. It works with its membership to develop a clear and pragmatic roadmap to achieve national interoperability.
